One of A.C.Coy Company's strategic Clients located in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area currently is looking for a Systems Analyst.

A systems analyst within the Mail Rx High volume group will need experience in reviewing and understanding business requirements as defined by the business analysts in the Product Management Group. The systems analyst will develop detailed functional requirements that will define how the MailRx product will be expected to deliver the necessary functionality to meet the business needs of our clients as defined in the business requirements. The analyst is the person that will define for the programming staff what has to be done. The programming staff will design how it is to be done within our application and the analyst will determine if the design meets the requirements or not.

In order to be able to do the above effectively we will need a person with 2 to 4 years experience as a programmer (java, C, SQL, Unix) in addition to 2 to 4 years experience as a systems analyst. They must be experienced in designing, coding and testing applications based upon detailed functional specifications from a systems analyst. This level of experience will enable them to communicate with the technical development staff effectively as they participate in the design reviews and code reviews that will occur about their functional specs that are being designed and developed by the programming staff. They will participate in these reviews to insure the designs being developed meet the intent of their functional specifications.

The analyst will be called upon to develop functional requirements for changes to existing code. A development background will aid them in their research of the application as the non technical documentation for the system is not good enough without reviewing source code at times.

Experience with established software development methodology is required. Rational Unified process is desired, but experience with a process, even an internal process developed by an employer is required. It would be highly desirable if the candidate can show examples of their work to use as a basis for discussion with the staff during the interview process.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required for this position.
