This position requires Sterling Connect Direct 1 - 5 Years experience, and is located in the Pittsburgh area.

The job description for this position is:

• Under direct supervision implements new data transmission customer setups and data communications testing using established procedures.
• Coordinates with Network, security and MIS teams to ensure accurate results.
• Troubleshoots transmission problems as required, and escalates if unresolved. The incumbent must also ensure their job responsibilities are performed in a manner consistent with corporate and technology risk management standards.

With the following responsibilities:

• Determines best communication method for new data transmissions.
• Tests new transmissions with customers.
• Coordinates accurate set up and turnover with various service partners and areas.
• Reviews transmission documentation to ensure accuracy.

Resolves data transmission problems, uses trace facilities to locate problems, coordinates with technical groups and customer site to resolve.

Conducts monthly transmission implementation meetings with the various technical groups and business units.

Works closely with major user groups to ensure customer satisfaction.

Updates and creates regular management reports and surveys.

Coordinates updates to C:D process library and C:E options files as well as automation clists that control transmissions.

Hardware, Software and Language Skills Required Are: Knowledge of Sterling Connect Direct / Transmissions products, Customer Service Skills, Ability to use Lotus Notes Email and Databases, Ability to perform Mainframe TSO functions.
